Corporate history:

Howard-Cooper Corporation was based in Portland, Oregon. It was a major dealer in the Pacific Northwest for various construction equipment lines, including International Harvester. According to sales literature in the collection, as of 1917 it also manufactured asphalt paving equipment and had branches in Seattle, Washington, Spokane, Washington, and Boise, Idaho. It opened a branch in Eugene, Oregon, in 1941, according to online newspapers at,665449. Dresser Industries sales literature published in 1988 cites a Howard-Cooper six-way dozer. It was apparently no longer in business as of November 2009, and nothing else is known of its history.
