Flexible Road Joint Machine Company (1925-????) | Historical Construction Equipment Association

Name: Flexible Road Joint Machine Company (1925-????)

Historical Note:

The Heltzel Steel Form & Iron Company (Collection 417) of Warren, Ohio, developed the Flex-Plane form-riding concrete finisher in 1923 and organized The Flexible Road Joint Machine Company, also in Warren, in 1925 as an associate company to produce the machines. Subsequent literature uses the Flex-Plane trade name, and the Flexible Road Joint name disappeared from sales literature.

Flexible Road Joint’s sales literature in the 1930s made extensive use of testimonial letters; its further history is unknown, but it was probably merged into Heltzel.
