Historical Note:

Gruendler Crusher & Pulverizer Company was founded in St. Louis, Missouri, in 1885 by William Friedrich Gruendler. His son, William P. Gruendler, took over after World War I; he was succeeded by William S. Gruendler, and upon his passing in 1981 William P. Gruendler and William P. As of 2009, it was owned by Terex Corporation (Collection 532) as part of its Terex Simplicity (former Simplicity Engineering Company, Collection 1376) unit. Nothing else is known about its history.

William and Paul Gruendler, grandsons of the company founder, were digitizing the company’s records in 2010.
